So you (or your children) have decided to race BMX? That's great! We would like to welcome you to Capital City BMX, the best track on the East Coast. CCBMX has been providing a safe, fun and exciting BMX experience for over 25 years in the Raleigh area. We race most Sundays, weather permitting. We encourage all riders and/or parents to join our mailing list. This will allow you to receive all of the latest, up to date information on what is going on at Capital City BMX. CCBMX offers new rider clinics to help riders of all skill levels learn
the basics of BMX. The clinics are lead by Rennen/Intense
Ladies Pro Kayla Gadis, Rennen/Intense
Rider Courtney Applewhite, Formula Factory Rider Cameron Moore or
other knowledgable local riders. They will cover the basics of BMX racing
including, gate starts, passing, pumping, bike maintenance and many other
topics. New members can take their first clinic for free. The regular
cost for the clinic is $4. Clinics are scheduled for the last Saturday
of each month 9:30am check-in and 10am-12noon clinic session, weather
permitting. The track must be dry. Please call the hotline or check the
website for up to date information.
This is a sport with no age minimums or maximums. Current riders range
in age from 3 to 65. All riders must wear a long sleeve shirt or shirt
with elbow pads, long pants or ABA approved knee/shin gaurds, and a helmet.
Half helmets(mountain bike or skateboard style) are the minimum required,
but full face helmets are highly recommended. Helmet rentals are available
at the track for only $2 per day. Bike rentals are available for $5 per
day. All rentals are available on a first-come first-serve basis. Gloves
are recommended. You bike must be free of all reflectors, chain guards,
water bottle cages, kickstands, and foot pegs. Pads on the bike are recommend.

All riders must hold a current license from the American Bicycle Association (ABA). The full one year ABA license is $45.00 or you can try before you buy with an ABA temporary membership for only $1. You can print out the form from our website and bring it with you to help speed up the process.
